חצופים - An Overview

רחבן של יריעות ארבעים אמה, כשהן מחוברות עשרים אמה לחוברת, שלשים מהן לגג חלל המשכן לארכו ואמה כנגד עובי ראשי הקרשים שבמערב, ואמה לכסות עובי העמודים שבמזרח, שלא היו קרשים במזרח אלא ארבעה עמודים, שהמסך פרוש ותלוי בווין שבהן כמין וילון. נשתיירו שמונה אמות התלויין על אחורי הקרשים שבמערב ושתי אמות התחתונות מגולות. זו מצאתי בברייתא דארבעים ותשע מדות. אבל במסכת שבת (צח ב) אין היריעות מכסות את עמודי המזרח, ותשע אמות תלויות אחורי המשכן, והכתוב מסייענו ונתת את הפרוכת תחת הקרסים, ואם כדברי הברייתא הזאת, נמצאת פרוכת משוכה מן הקרסים ולמערב אמה:
